Multi Painted 19th. century Hogscraper

19th. Century Painted Hogscraper. A very nice 19th. Century hogscraper. The hogscraper has the best painted surface, original paint red brown with black and M mustard lines. The paint is just outstanding. The hogscraper does have a bit of damage at the base. You can see where the metal is cracked. This damage causes a bit of loosens to the candle holder but it is totally useable and sound. The hogscraper measures about 7 inches tall. It may have had a chair rail, I can’t tell for sure but there is a chip out around the rim. Excellent provenance.

18th. c. American Tape Loom, (more info available)

This is an American box loom in Walnut. This is a beautifully made piece with a natural patina, and it would have originally sat on a work table especially made for the loom. The table is missing. When not in use the loom slides into the top of the box much like a slide lid candle box, and there is molding around the top edge. There are notches at the back of the box for the loom to slide into when in use. The box is constructed with small square nails. The loom itself is a solid panel of walnut and there is a hairline crack running vertically on the bottom. The box has some dark staining on one end of the interior that looks like very old ink spilled. The far end of the box has a lighter tone to the wood at the top from exposure. There is an old tight horizontal crack on one long side of the box near the top, but it appears stable. There are signs of use and wear, but the box is quite sturdy. The original interior spool is missing. The box loom measures 17" by 8" by 4 3/4" tall. When finished with your tape you slide the loom out and then slide the loom into the top of the box for storage. Functioning much like a slide lid candle box. The Box Loom is American, American Walnut.

Patriotic Business Card Holders

A Rare and Exciting Find! These are a group of hand done wooden Mini Torches that are each Hand Painted with the “Stars and Stripes”, and each one has a beautifully shaped Flame Top. They each measure just over 4” tall and they are all in excellent condition with a great surface and patina. They are circa 1870-80 and our best guess is that they were used as place card holders for a political rally or special Patriotic dinner of some sort. It looks like each one would have fit into some type of base, and each of the flames has a slit in it that would allow for holding a card. A very special group of Patriotic items. We are selling them individually or all together.

Two (2) 10th. c. quilted Petticoats

Two 19th. Century Quilted Petticoats. The first Petticoat on the right is A very nice, Vanilla colored, silk quilted petticoat. Completely hand stitched quilting throughout the petticoat. Ex Marge Stauffer. It measures about 41 1/2 inches long. Great addition to your peg rack display. The petticoat is in very good condition however the silk has separated in several places on one side of the petticoat, see photos. This type of separation is quite common in silk. The other side of the petticoat has no damage or separation. Circa 1830-1850. The 2nd petticoat on the left is A very nice, early 19th. century quilted petticoat. The petticoat is of a light/medium weight. I do not believe it is a Winter petticoat, a more Summer variety. The condition is quite good, there are no major tears or wear marks. The tapes on the petticoat are beautiful. One side is silk and the other side looks to be a cotton chintz. The silk side does have some staining, see photos. The length of the petticoat is about 37 inches with the waist measuring about 28-29 inches. On the second photo you can see where the silk is broken.
